Donald Trump has denied charges of illegally storing classified documents. The 76-year-old pleaded not guilty in federal court in Miami on Tuesday. Trump and his co-defendant advisor Walt Nauta had previously officially presented themselves to the authorities in court and, according to the judiciary, were arrested. Nauta also pleaded not guilty.

Trump is accused of withholding top-secret documents at his Mar-a-Lago home following leaving office and attempting to hide them from authorities. Trump faces 37 counts.

He is the first former US President to be indicted by the US Department of Justice. He is also facing charges in New York State for paying hush money during his 2016 presidential campaign.
