Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and DIHAD Sign Partnership Agreement to Advance Humanitarian Training Programs

ABU DHABI, 13th June, 2019 (WAM) — The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Sustainable Humanitarian Organization, DIHAD, signed today a memorandum of understanding aimed at establishing a strategic partnership between the two sides to enhance cooperation on educational and humanitarian training programs and initiatives.
The memorandum of understanding was signed at the academy’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, by His Excellency Nikolay Mladenov, Director General of the Academy, and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Madani, Ambassador of the Mediterranean Parliament in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and President of the DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organization, in the presence of Eng. Khaled Al-Attar, Director General of Education at the DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organization. And a number of representatives and administrators from both sides.

The partnership between the Academy and the sustainable humanitarian organization DIHAD paves the way for the active exchange of key knowledge and expertise, and the upgrading of the technical and intellectual skills of the participants.
The collaboration focuses on strengthening the relationship between diplomacy and humanitarian action, and covers the essential information needed to achieve success and influence in that crucial area.
His Excellency Nikolay Mladenov said: “The Memorandum of Understanding we signed with DIHAD demonstrates the Academy’s commitment to addressing global humanitarian challenges. Through this collaboration, we can expand our impact and make a difference in humanitarian diplomacy.”
He added, “Our alliance with DIHAD is a testament to the Academy’s ongoing efforts to provide education in the humanitarian field. In 2021, we launched the Master of Arts in Humanitarian and Development Work program, giving interested individuals the opportunity to learn from professionals and academics in this field.”

DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organization is committed to empowering the world through sustainable development, humanitarian initiatives, and education. The Academy recently participated in the Dubai International Conference and Exhibition for Relief and Development – DIHAD, which was held in Dubai last March, where representatives of the Academy highlighted its efforts to train world-class diplomats in the field of humanitarian work in front of the international audience of the exhibition. The event also attracted potential students interested in joining the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy during the coming academic years.
