After years of quarrels within my SPÖ party, which ended with a member survey that was unsurpassable in terms of embarrassment, Andreas Babler was elected the new SPÖ chairman. Not even properly in office, the SPÖ quarrels continue quickly in public with the SPÖ chairman from Salzburg, David Egger, and deputy governor Georg Dornauer from Tyrol. Don’t they have a cell phone to express their concerns or wishes to our SPÖ chairman Andreas Babler? I briefly considered leaving following 43 years as an SPÖ member. But I still have hope that these two gentlemen will perhaps, like many others in our party, understand that it is not their own ego but the party that comes first. Friendship.
