“Writing essays will probably never be the samesaid ChatGPT founder Sam Altman in a talk at Keio University. “We have a new tool in education. Like a calculator for words,’ he said. «And the way we teach is going to have to change and the way students are assessed is going to have to change as well.”

ChatGPT’s generative artificial intelligence has captivated users’ attention with its ability to generate human-like conversations, compositions, and translations in a matter of seconds.

Buthas also generated concern in various sectors, including education, as many fear that students will abuse this tool instead of doing their own work.

Altman visited the capital of Japan as part of a world tour in which he has met with political leaders and companies to discuss the possibilities offered by AI and the issue of its regulation.

The executive has urged political leaders to create regulatory frameworks for AI, warning that “if something in this technology goes wrong, it can go very wrong.”

“The tools we have are still very primitive compared to what we are going to have in a couple of years,” Altman said Monday, reiterating his call to regulate this field.

The executive said he felt “optimistic” regarding an implementation of regulations for AI following meeting with several world leaders, but reiterated his fears.

“We would feel very responsible, no matter what might go wrong,” he said.
