Saudi Railways (SAR) announced the readiness of the Haramain Express Train to receive pilgrims of the Holy House of God for this year, confirming the completion of all its operational plans to transport the guests of Rahman to the various destinations that the train reaches between Makkah and Madinah.
Saudi Railways revealed the number of Haramain Express train trips available during the Hajj season of 1444 AH, which exceed 3,400 trips, with more than 1.5 million seats.
The company confirmed that the Haramain Express train trips will be available between all stations, to reach 126 trips per day.
For his part, Vice President of the Haramain Express and Holy Sites, Engineer Rayan Al-Harbi, confirmed the completion and activation of all operational plans adopted by the company for the Hajj season this year, noting the company’s full commitment to providing all services and capabilities that contribute to facilitating the performance of the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God for the rituals of Hajj with ease and ease. Within the keenness of the wise leadership to integrate services provided to pilgrims from all government sectors.
Al-Harbi confirmed that the Haramain Express train trips will continue to be linked to transport buses designated to transport pilgrims directly from the Haramain Express train station in Makkah Al-Mukarramah to the Holy Mosque in both directions.
It should be noted that the Haramain Express Train transported more than 800,000 passengers during the last Ramadan season, with an accuracy of punctuality exceeding 95%. The Haramain Express Train is one of the ten fastest electric trains in the world, so that the project, consisting of 35 trains, provides land transportation services that connect Makkah Al-Mukarramah to the city. Al-Munawwarah, passing through three main stations: Jeddah Sulaymaniyah, Jeddah King Abdulaziz International Airport, and King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh.
