This year, the city of Baden and the artistic director decided to create something completely new for the opening of the Rose Days.
There was something completely new at the opening of the Rose Days this year. The city of Baden and Herbert Fischerauer, artistic director, opted for a crossover concert with the Beethoven Philharmonic and the Baden band Stereoparty, including a guest appearance by Volksoper star Juliette Khalil.
With this decision, the organizers not only showed a golden touch, but also underlined Baden’s position as the cultural capital of Lower Austria with a strong exclamation mark, according to a broadcast.
Even with the opening number, the overture to Mozart’s Magic Flute, the approximately 2,500 guests were captivated by the perfect interplay of classical cast and rock formation. Accompanied by a harmonious light show and embedded in the professional arrangements by Christoph Huber, whose direction was also carried by a lot of esprit and enthusiasm, the musicians delivered a concert in the one and a half hour evening show, where literally nobody was kept on their seats .
At the end of the evening you might see a sea of dancing people on the square in front of the orangery, who immersed the rosarium in a single sea of lights with the encore “Weus’d a Herz hast wie a Bergwerk”.
LEADERSNET was at the concert. There are impressions here.
