SpaceX, the space company owned by Elon Musk, hired a 14-year-old software engineer. Kieran Kwasi is the youngest employee hired by the billionaire’s company. Quasi’s job entry came following succeeding in SpaceX’s interview process, which was “technically very challenging” and “fun.”
Kwazi is not a retail guy who would become an engineer at one of the world’s most valuable companies. According to an LA Times report, the teenager, who has been studying computer science and engineering since he was 11, will graduate from Santa Clara University this month.
Quasi is very excited to start his engineering job at SpaceX. He says he will use his skills to help the company achieve its goal of sending humans to Mars.
“I am going to join the best company on the planet as a software engineer in the Starlink engineering team.” One of the rare companies where my maturity and ability are not measured by age” – Quasi wrote on LinkedIn. According to reports, Quasi is planning to move with her mother from Pleasanton, California to Redmond, Washington to start working at SpaceX.
Quasi was interested in news and current affairs from a very young age. He might speak fluently at the age of two. He used to tell his friends and teachers regarding the news he heard on the radio when he was in pre-primary school.
By the time he was in the third grade, he found that his schooling was not challenging. Recognizing Kwazi’s academic potential, his parents enrolled him in a community college. After two years of proving his ability, he transferred to Santa Clara University’s engineering school. Quasi said that once he got to college, he felt like he was learning at the level he needed to be.
Earlier this year, the 14-year-old posted on Instagram that he was preparing for a job interview. Weeks later, Quasi also shared a screenshot of a job offer letter from SpaceX.
