It’s (almost) time for Xbox Games Showcase. And if we are completely honest with you: we expect a lot! After a PlayStation Showcase which clearly left us unsatisfied, followed by the Summer Game Fest which was not necessarily up to our expectations, we are betting a little bit on Microsoft. It must also be said that the latter have well hyped the players by promising heavy while gently tackling the competition in passing, because why not finally.
It is Sunday June 11 from 7 p.m. that the conference will take place which might well save part of the Summer Game Fest 2023. Microsoft promises a two-hour show, just that, and we can already imagine very well what we would like to see there…
99.9% chance of seeing Fable 4
And we don’t say that in the wind. A few weeks ago, it was the official Xbox Twitter account itself that released a teaser that set the powder on fire. It must be said that for all fans of the license, the video is unequivocal: we hear music from the cult franchise of Xbox studios, we also see a trail of glitter that strangely resembles the luminous path of the games. No more doubt possible!
It’s been almost 3 years since we had any real news of Fable 4. The first trailer was indeed unveiled in July 2020 during another Xbox Showcase. So all fans hope to learn a little more regarding what might well sign the return of one of the biggest licenses in video games.
Elder Scrolls 6, where are you?
We believe in it, and yet we can’t help but believe in it all the same. But what if THE big surprise of this Summer Game Fest 2023 was Elder Scrolls 6? We remind you that the conference is also called Xbox & Bethesda Showcasing. If we were in Bethesda’s place, it’s not yet another Fallout 76 update that we would be showing players, but the Skyrim sequel which is a little too long overdue if you ask us…
5 years. 5 years since the one and only image of the game, that of a landscape with the inscription “The Elder Scrolls VI” on it. Even though Todd Howard (the father of the franchise) warned us in 2019, “I think everyone should be very patient”, we tell ourselves that several years of patience is already not bad. So obviously, we’re not expecting a gameplay trailer, but at least a trailer worthy of the name…
The great return of Indiana Jones
Since its surprise announcement in 2021, it’s been a bit of radio silence… However, it remains one of Microsoft’s most anticipated next-gen console games players. We are obviously talking regarding the next Indiana Jones game, which will be the result of the latest collaboration between MachineGames and Bethesda. We therefore hope for a lot, especially since we already know that he “will tell a totally original and independent story”.
Another factor makes us say that he will be present during this Xbox Games Showcase: the upcoming release of Indiana Jones 5 at the cinema ! And yes, you may be aware that Harrison Ford has returned to service as Doctor Jones in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which hits the big screen on June 28. What might be better than having a big announcement for the game coincide with the release of the fifth installment in cinemas?
Any news from Senua’s Saga Hellblade II?
Shown in 2019 at the Game Awards, then two years later at the same ceremony, Senua’s Saga Hellblade II has already unveiled an ultra-impressive gameplay trailer that has everyone in agreement. We know that the game should be much more ambitious than its predecessor, and the technical demo from two months ago seems to confirm it. But we are now missing one essential thing: a release date!
We therefore hope to see the Pictish warrior Senua once more in her quest for revenge, which might well be released on Xbox in 2024. However, the developers have already warned last year: “Hellblade was very special to us and we didn’t want to do a direct sequel. We wanted to do something very special and that’s why we’re making it as hard as possible for ourselves on this quest”. So we might have to wait a little longer…

What would a conference be without a zombie game? And we put a coin on State of Decay 3 for this Xbox Games Showcase! Microsoft having bought the developers of the license in 2018, we imagine that the ambitions for this third opus are now very different. The desire to make it a real AAA for the Xbox Series may well be present, and the first trailer went rather in this direction. But since this short video unveiled in 2020 nothing more…
We would therefore like to see a gameplay trailer with, why not, because we can also dream a little, the revelation of a release date. It would also be an excellent game to promote the famous Xbox Game Pass. We suspect that the conference will be very focused on Microsoft’s paid service, and rightly so, and State of Decay 3 seems to be an ideal candidate!

You can follow the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 this Sunday, June 11 from 7 p.m.. The conference should last approximately two hours. You can watch it via Twitch, YouTube or our dedicated livefeed which should appear one hour before the start of the event.
Also note that the conference will be directly followed by a Starfield Direct, which will offer a dive into Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG. It is for this reason that we did not put Starfield in our expectations: we already know that it will be there!
In any case, the appointment is therefore made to find out everything that Microsoft has in store for us for the coming months.
