Scholz added, “I have spoken constantly with the Russian president now and then, not only before the war, but since the war began, sometimes at length. Since we haven’t spoken for a long time, I intend to speak with him once more sometime, in the near future.” .
Schultz’s remarks came during his participation in an event at the German Protestant Church in Nuremberg.
“But it should be clear in all these talks that there is one condition for fair peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, and this condition is that Russia withdraws its forces, and this needs to be understood,” he said.
