Yesterday evening, during their patrol to monitor the closing of the cafes of Bastogne, police officers encountered two young people with a high alcohol content in rue Lamborelle.
Given their condition, they made an administrative arrest to allow them to regain their senses. The arrest went well, but finally degenerated between the exit of the vehicle and the premises of the police. One of the two young people, just 18 years old, rebelled strongly. It took several officers to subdue him and in the scuffle he kicked a police officer in the face, slightly injuring him.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office therefore proceeded to a deprivation of judicial freedom for acts of rebellion. The suspect is expected to be heard on Saturday.
