New York: The smoke from Canada that suffocated the eastern parts of the United States has reached Europe. It is reported that the plume of smoke has reached Norway. The smoke spread from Canada to Norway through the regions of Greenland and Iceland.

Scientists at the Climate-Environmental Research Institute have confirmed the presence of smoke in the country’s atmosphere. Smoke is not currently making life difficult as it is in America. Air pollution does not rise alarmingly and may not lead to health problems. Scientists said that the smoke spread for kilometers. There is also concern that the smoke may spread to other countries in Europe in the coming days.

Meanwhile, concerns regarding the smoke in the US have eased somewhat. Air quality has improved in major cities including New York, Washington DC and Philadelphia. However, the warnings that those who go out should wear masks have not been withdrawn. Air quality in the Chicago, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh areas has not improved.

The fact that Canada’s wildfires are out of control, fueled by smoke, doubles the concern. 10.6 million acres have been consumed by the fire so far. Foreign countries are helping Canada to control the fire.
