The works have already begun and their objective is to add spaces for enjoyment and recreation in the area of Spain and the river
Something is changing on the central coast, so used by Rosario and tourists. The work that will rehabilitate the entire promenade that surrounds the gastronomic complex of the Parque de las Colectividades, in Spain and the river has begun. In this way, the group in charge of the commercial exploitation of the municipal space where the Don Ferro restaurant and the Flora bar are located is executing a new promenade to comply with what the concession specifications require. Thus, the internal street is already being redone, which will continue to be paved, but sidewalks will be widened with the removal of part of these materials. Green spaces around the area will also be improved and there will be new children’s games and lighting. Sources from the developer group indicated that the reform plan will be ready in regarding 40 days, with a proposal that includes greater afforestation and a wider pedestrian access between this green space and Isla de los Inventos, to the south of the riverside strip.
As indicated by the municipal planning secretary, Agustina González Cid, the internal cobblestone street of the gastronomic complex located in the central strip, between Presidente Roca and Spain, is being redone. Other tasks will be added to this, such as the widening of the sidewalk, with the clear objective of “add permeable and green soil.”
Among what was requested in the concession documents is the replacement and updating of children’s games; and the public toilets located near the Flora bar have already been renovated.
In addition, the sidewalks of Avenida Illia will be redone and trees will have to be added in the parking area that has the development adjacent to the restaurant area. Light fixtures will also need to be replaced and existing lighting upgraded.
The plan proposed by the Executive includes the modification of railings, new paths and drainage, also in the Sunchales park, in an area of regarding two hectares. All these works are in charge of the current concessionaire Ritagliati-González, which had already been commercially exploiting the place since 2002 and was awarded a new tender through a decree of the current mayor Pablo Javkin towards the end of 2021.
From the gastronomic complex they announced that the new public bathrooms are already enabled, just as the new children’s ones are in a final stage.
“Also the surroundings of the lighting of the new street, with new sidewalks and landscaping, which will be finished in regarding 30 to 60 days, and are part of the public works obligations,” said a manager consulted by this newspaper and clarified: ” The cobbled street will remain as it is, with some adjustments.”
In this way, the objective sought was to increase and facilitate the circulation of pedestrians between Presidente Roca and Spain. Apart from the sidewalks, flower beds will also be executed and trees in a defective state will be replaced. Another item that is intended is to improve the road management of the traffic that arrives there, within the framework of a sector that is with a stay rate and another free and public that was described as conflictive due to the actions of car guards.
The new terms of commercial exploitation adjusted the values of the rental fee to a nomenclature of 730 units per month, a value that is currently estimated to be well over 800,000 pesos. A situation that stands out from the repeated criticisms of the opposition to socialism, which had indicated as “derisory” the canon granted in favor of the concessionaire
Ritagliati-González will continue to manage the traditional Don Ferro grill and the Flora bar, characteristic for its deck over the ravine. And the site of The Planet gym, like the ballroom set up on the same strip as the city’s first railway building, will be managed by the Marshall catering group.
