The governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, met this Thursday with some thirty provincial mayorswith whom he analyzed the electoral situation of each district and the Buenos Aires strategyat a time when the idea of a single candidate is advancing.
“What was discussed with the governors was discussed. The political scenarios were discussed, but this was not a decisive meeting in this regard“Kicillof said following the meeting in La Plata. According to the governor, “whatever is done in the province of Buenos Aires it has to be coordinated with the national strategy“.
In this sense, he maintained that “this meeting was a forceful demonstration that the Frente de Todos in the province of Buenos Aires is solid and willing to continue working and give the people a very clear proposal for the elections.”

Kicillof also evidenced that “it was agreed to work to win in the province and create the best scenario to win the national election; and that we all have to work for that.”
Regarding the opposition, the governor affirmed that “the right has many candidates, but only one project: the adjustment. Here in the province of Buenos Aires we plan to continue with the work and production”.
“We have made it very clear: health, work, production, education. These are projects that we want to move forward with. Our proposal is very specific and is opposed to those who propose zero public works. I don’t know who is going to do the health centers, the schools that are missing with zero public works,” the provincial president completed.

Together with Axel Kicillof were the lieutenant governor, Verónica Magario; the head of the provincial Cabinet, Martín Insaurralde; the Minister of Development for the Community, Andrés “Cuervo” Larroque; and the chief advisor, Carlos Bianco.
Among the mayors were Mayra Mendoza (Quilmes), Fernando Espinosa (La Matanza), Mario Seco (Ensenada), Juan Ustarroz (Mercedes), Gustavo Menéndez (Merlo), Mariel Fernández (Moreno), Alberto Descalzo (Ituzaingó), Juan José Mussi (Berazategui) and Julio Zamora (Tigre), among others.

As the PJ governors did this Wednesday, the mayors are inclined towards the idea that there is a unity candidate in the province of Buenos Aires.
This idea is in line with the proposal of Sergio Massa’s Renovation Front, but it clashes with the expectations of the Brazilian ambassador, Daniel Scioli, and the chief of staff, Agustín Rossi, who want to compete.
