British Airways Launches Nonstop Flights to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky – Becomes Largest U.K. Airline in U.S.

On June 5, British Airways began nonstop flights between London Heathrow and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. The Ohio city becomes the company’s 27th U.S. destination and positions it as the largest U.K. airline in the United States.

British Airways resumes flights to Beijing (PKX)

Flight BA 121 was operated on a Boeing 787 registered G-ZBJD, which took off from Heathrow Airport (LHR) at 16:43 local time and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport at 19:18, following seven hours and 35 minutes.

British Airways will offer 2,140 seats per week on this new service and is the second carrier to offer scheduled passenger flights between Europe and Cincinnaticomplementing Delta Air Lines’ services to Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

The last non-stop connection between London and Cincinnati was on August 30, 2009 with weekly Delta service on Boeing 767-300ERs operated from Gatwick Airport.

  • London/Heathrow – Cincinnati Flight BA 121 LHR 16:05 – CVG 19:45 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Cincinnati – London/Heathrow Flight BA 120 CVG 21:30 – LHR 10:15+1 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The route will be operated on Boeing 787-8 aircraft with a capacity of 214 seats in three classes (35 Club World/25 World Traveler Plus/154 World Traveler) and promotional fares start at US$649 roundtrip.

  • For the winter season, the route is reduced to four weekly flights operated by Boeing 777-200ER.

In addition, British Airways provides convenient connections from Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 to nearly 200 destinations in 65 countries around the world, including routes with its partner airlines.
