The former mayor of Vicente López thus avoided crossing paths with Horacio Rodríguez Larreta for the photo, in the midst of the tensions that the yellow party is going through at the national level. The seat that he had reserved in the Teatro Colón, in the front row, was empty for the entire hour in which the meeting took place, which he arrived at towards the end. Although from his environment they assured that “he had already warned that he would be late due to other commitments assumed”, the explanation was not enough to clear up the speculation regarding the evident differences that mark his relationship with the head of government.
Since he was crowned as the Buenos Aires PRO candidate, ten days ago, the former mayor of Vicente López barely participated in a handful of events together with Rodríguez Larreta, which complicates the construction of his profile as a continuity of the current management. In fact, his candidacy was promoted in tandem by Patricia Bullrich and his cousin Mauricio Macritoday more confronted than ever with the Buenos Aires president.
The one who gave the present was the radical Martin Lousteauwhich plays strongly in favor of Larreta in the idea of expanding Together for Change towards Federal Peronism of Juan Schiaretti. “Whoever is the leader who succeeds me, and here I see Martín, we are going to continue transforming Buenos Aires”said Larreta, in another clear gesture of his preference for the Evolution senator over Macri himself.
