Green June: Cervical Cancer Screening Awareness Day in Creuse, France

2023-06-07 17:00:00

“Green June” is the month dedicated to organized cervical cancer screening. In France, 3,000 new cases per year are detected. However, the detection rate remains insufficient. Indeed, only 54% of Creuse women have done it in 2021. In addition, we observe that beyond the age of 50, women tend to turn away from screening operations.
It is in this context that many actions are deployed in the Creuse department. Thus, the Aubusson hospital center, in connection with the Creuse departmental council, the Creuse screening center (CRCDC) and the League once morest cancer is organizing an awareness and information day on Tuesday June 13 on the site of the White Cross, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Screening for colorectal cancer: Creuse can do better

This day will be an opportunity for women to take time to talk with health professionals and take stock of their journey.
Several stands will be offered, they will relate to the different means of hygienic protection, the multiple methods of contraception, HPV vaccination, self-examination via a workshop on the bust and organized cancer screenings.
In addition, women will also be able, on medical prescription or presentation of the CRCDC’s invitation, to carry out their mammography without an appointment from 9 a.m. and exceptionally this day until 7 p.m.
So many actions that fit directly into the proactive dynamic of the establishment in terms of screening and prevention during a day that is intended to be warm, friendly and without taboos.
