Frontier Developments announces the release date as well as the launch of pre-orders for F1® Manager 2023, the next installment in the series of officially licensed Formula 1® management simulations.
Back in the pits, players will experience the most authentic, comprehensive and dynamic F1® management experience to date. All the while establishing themselves as one of the most prolific teams of all time by their own standards.
Players will have the opportunity to relive key moments from the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship™ through the all-new Race Replay mode, which features two unique types of scenarios:
Starting Grid: Players will take control of the team of their choice in a full race replicating track conditions as well as grid positions set in the real world. Race Moments: fans will have to follow a specific scenario during a Grand Prix, in order to achieve a specific objective before the checkered flag is waved, capturing the key strategic decisions made throughout an exciting season . As each race of the 2023 season concludes, new key moments will be added to F1® Manager 2023, testing team managers week in and week out as they strategize.
F1® Manager 2023 brings every lap to life in stunning visual representation, delivering total immersion across six F1® Sprint events and all 23 official circuits on the calendar, including the all-new Las Vegas Strip circuit. Players will have the choice of watching the various thrilling actions unfold through multiple on-board and trackside cameras, plotting their strategy from the 3D map, or immersing themselves in every overtake using the new camera in the pilots’ visor.
In each turn, the player’s decision-making will be tested. A new system guiding players on the balance between risk and reward on the track is emerging, which can lead to intense struggles or mistakes that will affect the driver’s confidence. Changes in outside or tire temperatures will force team managers to react to these changing conditions in order to get the best results. Knowing when to push and when to play it safe is more important than ever, with dramatic overtaking and cornering collisions that capture the thrill of every moment.
Fans will have unprecedented control over all facets of their team’s development. The new Sporting Director offers the ability to train the pit crew to mitigate costly mistakes, while drivers now train along a clear development path. Players will be able to look to the future with greater certainty by unearthing talent from fully simulated F2™ and F3™ championships, negotiating contracts for the following season to ensure multi-year success. Improving pacing over the course of a season means developing new plays where balancing performance, weight and budget considerations will test players’ management skills.
Players looking to be the first out of the pits and expand their experience can do so with F1® Manager 2023: Deluxe Edition. Along with accessing the game four days before launch, players will also receive 12 additional exclusive scenarios, split between the Starting Grid and Race Moments. These scenarios will further challenge team managers by creating unique racing experiences featuring what-if challenges such as “what if it was raining in Bahrain?”, “if all the cars had the same development, who would take?”. The Deluxe Edition scenarios give fans the chance to put some of the sport’s biggest questions to the test.
F1® Manager 2023 will be available digitally on July 31 on PC, PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One for €54.99 and the Deluxe Edition for €64.99 . F1® Manager 2023 will also be available physically on PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One at a later date. Players can deepen their immersion with three unique Race Moment scenarios by pre-ordering the game digitally.
