O Twitter extended period for Blue subscribers we will edit tweets already published, so that they now have up to 1 hour to do so — previously, this deadline was 30 minutes.
The change was posted by the subscription service’s official profile and naturally gives those users a longer window of time to amend their tweets and correct any typos.
There is still no information, however, if the number of edits allowed within that period has also been increased; until now, users can make up to five edits to a single tweet. In that regard, the Twitter Blue support pagewhich has been updated to reflect the new editing period, says only that you can “make a limited number of changes to published tweets”.
So far, the option to edit tweets remains available only to Twitter Blue subscribers in countries such as Australia, Canada, United States and New Zealand. The feature was officially launched last October.
It is also worth noting that this was the network’s first announcement following executive Linda Yaccarino officially took over as CEO of Twitter earlier this week.
