Stockholm: The Swedish government has denied the news that sex has been recognized as a sport. The sports confederation under the Swedish government’s Ministry of Sports denied the news that the sex championship would be organized under the leadership of Sweden.

Various international media had reported that such a tournament would be held in Gothenburg on June 8. Swedish Sports Confederation spokeswoman Anna Setzman said the incident was false and someone was spreading such false news to defame Sweden and Swedish sports.

The representative of the Swedish government said that it has noticed that such a false news is circulating in some Asian-African countries and denies the news. Anna Setzman told the international media outlet DW that a strip club owner had approached them with a request for a sex federation, but this request was rejected last May.

The representative also informed that the Swedish Sports Confederation has no connection with sex federations of any kind. At the same time, the media also reported that a fake website was operating under the name Swedish Sex Federation.

It was discovered that a Swedish citizen named Dragon Bratic was behind this fake news. According to a report by leading Swedish daily Göteborgs Posten, Bratic owned several strip clubs.

Wanting to make sex a sport, he approached the Swedish Sports Council in January 2023 seeking membership. But the federation rejected the application in May. According to the Swedish media, Dragon Bratic has spread such a fake news.
