Suffering from stage four colorectal cancer, a woman from Chesterville, in the Centre-du-Québec region, is preparing to participate in the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie next weekend.
After two major operations and a dozen chemotherapy treatments, Nathalie Boucher is excited at the idea of realizing one of her dreams.

“I watched the cyclists. At the start, the tears were flowing and I was not even on the side of the cyclists. I said to myself: “One day I would like to do it”, said the one who had already participated in the event as a volunteer.
She can also count on the support of her oncologist, Dr. Martin Rouillard, who will pedal alongside her.
“In oncology, I learned quickly that you should never take away someone’s hope.[…] I think she braved all the bad weather and all the obstacles we had to overcome,” he said.

Nathalie Boucher should thus complete one stage per day of the Grand Défi which will take place from June 8 to 11.
