Emails originating from Epstein himself were released as part of a US court case. In the 2011 documents, the late Epstein touts Prince Andrew as a potential matchmaker and investor for wealthy clients, he writes «Mirror».
The emails went to Jes Staley – head of US bank JP Morgan and to senior banker Mary Erdoesin. Epstein was a customer of this bank for a long time.

But something makes you suspicious. The emails are from 2011. However, Prince Andrew claimed in an interview that he had already completely cut off contact with Epstein in 2010.
In the TV interview with the BBC, journalist Emily Maitlis then asked: “Have you seen him once more or spoken to him?” Prince Andrew: “No.”
It’s not clear if the Duke knew he was being proposed as an investor by Epstein.
The lawyer for some Epstein victims, Spencer Kuvin, told the British daily newspaper: “It appears that Epstein either grossly overstated his relationship with Prince Andrew or that the Duke may not have been completely honest regarding when his friendship with Epstein ended.”
One of the Epstein victims, who wished to remain anonymous, asked, “Why would Jeffrey tout him as an investor when he’s no longer in touch?”
The lawyer, on behalf of the victims, demands that Prince Andrew disclose any connection to Epstein to the FBI. But the royal hasn’t done that yet.
Prince Andrew made questionable statements
The victim also says: “Many of the claims the Prince made to the BBC were questionable at best. But the publication of Jeffrey’s emails makes his replies even less credible.”
There is a photo showing Prince Andrew with the then underage abuse victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre and Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. The Royal says: “You can’t say that this photo is real.” He also claimed he mightn’t sweat due to hormonal reasons – following Giuffre said he sweated profusely the first time they met.
Prince Andrew has other concerns in addition to the new allegations. His brother King Charles wants to throw him out of the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Prince William and his families are to move in there. Andrew has lived there for 30 years. So far he has not wanted to leave the property.
