Kochi: Mark list of Maharajas College student and SFI state secretary PM Arshaw has been corrected. Arshaw, who did not take the third semester archeology exam, had passed the mark sheet. As the incident became controversial, first the mark list was removed from the website and then a new one was published stating that it had failed.

Meanwhile, KSU is raising a big protest over the incident. KSU Ernakulam district president Krishnalal alleged that even two months following the publication of the exam results, the justification that the serious error in the mark list was technically a mistake cannot be believed. Krishnalal said that he doubts that only the mark list of the SFI leader has been corrected because so many students wrote the exam.

Revised Mark List

Despite the incident being controversial, SFI state secretary Arsho has not commented on the matter. But Minister R Bindu said that Arshaw’s mark list controversy has not been noticed and will respond following looking into the matter.

The third semester archeology exam was held while Arshaw was on remand. Arsho had not written this exam. But in the mark list of this semester there is nothing in the marks column but it is written as passed. When the incident was made controversial by KSU, the college principal intervened and withdrew the mark list and later published a certificate stating that he had failed.

The Principal of Maharajas College clarified that the mark list as ‘passed’ is a technical error. The explanation of the college is that there are some glitches related to the NIC website which publishes the mark list. He said that if there was any defect in the mark list, he might have brought it to his notice but no such action was taken.
