Sad news for Disney fans, as the company’s last store in France outside “Disneyland Paris” closed its operations on Friday.
The “Disney Store”, located on the famous avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, opened its doors in 1993. It was the last store in France, apart from the one located in the “Disneyland Paris” park.
Forty jobs were lost, according to the daily “Le Parisien”.
The establishment was to close no later than June 5, until stocks run out.
The venue formerly occupied by Disney covered an area of 600 square meters.
At the time of writing, no offer to purchase the premises had been submitted.
