Salzburg/Wals (OTS) – The SPÖ does not come to rest: While Burgenland’s governor Hans Peter Doskozil was elected the new chairman at the special party conference in Linz, the correction was made today, two days later: A technical error would have falsified the count, the new SPÖ boss is the Traiskirchner mayor Andrew Babeler. Was it really technical failure or simple dilettantism that led to the wrong count? Can intent be ruled out entirely? Does that further damage the credibility of the party and politics as a whole? And does the difficult situation of social democracy have what it takes to provoke one of the two governing parties to hold new elections?
