In due time: Apple changes iPhone AutoCorrect feature

Probably one of the biggest highlights from Apple’s developer event on Monday is the iPhone maker’s change to prevent its AutoCorrect feature from annoyingly correcting one of the most currents in “ducking” (duck).

“Whenever you feel like typing the wrong word, the keyboard will learn that too,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s chief software officer.

The iPhone’s keyboard autocorrect feature has always had its quirks, sometimes taking a misspelled word when composing a text message and replacing it with what it considers a logical option, which eventually changes. the meaning of a particular expression or sentence.

This kind of situation usually gives rise to messages like “Damn the autocorrector!”. But the “dodge” substitution has long been a source of amusement or frustration, depending on how many times one has had to rewrite one’s own texts or yell at one’s own device (the iPhone can’t correct its epithets verbal).

Besides texting changes, the company had a lot on the agenda: an expensive new mixed reality headset, details regarding its desktop and laptop redesign.

Apple shares hit an all-time high on Monday, putting the company’s market valuation just short of $3 trillion, which would also be a record high. Its 280% gains over the past five years clearly demonstrate the power of the iPhone’s market share.

Of course, iPhone users have always had the option of turning off the autocorrect feature on their phone, allowing even the most rude users to be as profanity as they want.
