Former Egyptian National Team Player Sends Heartfelt Message to Retired Football Star Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Ahmed Hossam Mido, the Egyptian national team player and former Zamalek club, sent a message to the Swedish star and his former colleague in the Dutch club Ajax, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, following the latter retired from football, on Sunday.

And the former Pharaohs national team player published a previous photo that brought him together with Ibrahimovic, saying: “Congratulations Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a wonderful career. You have done your duty towards your country, your family, but you are most proud of yourself,” according to his tweet on Twitter.

Mido continued: “Good luck in your next season, you will do something great in whatever you decide to do, it was an honor to play together side by side, I learned a lot of things from you on and off the field, God bless you and your family.”

Ahmed Hossam Mido had played next to the Swedish star with the Dutch club between 2001 and 2003, during which time they achieved a number of championships.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic hung his shoe at the end of the Italian club AC Milan this season, ending an amazing career at the age of 41.

In his career, Ibrahimović played for nine teams and scored 561 goals for club and country during his 24-year career, according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
