Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – At the wedding of her daughter, Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein, from the Jordanian Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, Azza bint Nayef Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Sudairi appeared in a dreamy purple dress created by the Lebanese designer, Georges Hobeika.
It took 4 months to make the dress, and it consists of two pieces made of Double Crepe Georgette.
The first piece of the dress has long sleeves and is devoid of any embroidery, while the cape that is placed over the dress is decorated with silk threads and crystals.
In an interview with CNN in Arabic, Hobeika said that this look was specially designed for Al-Sudairi, adding, “It was important for Ms. Azza that the design of the dress reflects the Saudi character, and that the piece be simple and conservative at the same time.”

The Lebanese designer chose nature as a source of inspiration, and explained, “I was inspired by the desert sands, and the aromatic lavender plant that grows in them with the advent of spring. The color of the dress was bright violet, (while) the fabric was… silky, with a sand-like texture.”
As for the headdress, Hobeika explained that the Sudairi preferred it to be devoid of any embellishment or embroidery “to preserve the beauty and simplicity of the look.”

The look was modified following the first experiment conducted by the Lebanese designer with his team in the French capital, Paris. This look is “far from any kind of exaggeration.”
King Abdullah II of Jordan and Queen Rania Al-Abdullah received the invitees at Zahran Palace on Thursday, where the marriage ceremony was attended by regarding 150 members of the Hashemite family, and Jordanian guests including state leaders, crown princes, and personalities from brotherly and friendly countries.
