The first level 100 character is known. This is a Barbarian led by Rob2628 who has been playing since the opening of early access on June 2. The Trombe build is also so efficient that the class has the luxury of being in the first three places in the race.
Rob2628 played approximately 54 hours and notably farmed dungeons and areas where elite monsters are shady. The player slept eight hours a night, which is still reasonable when embarking on such an adventure. World of Warcraft Race to World Firsts sometimes result in much shorter nights in guilds attempting World Firsts.
You can follow the race on the website D4 race. Although it is updated manually, it seems quite reliable. You will thus notice that the 1st Hardcore character is once more a Barbarian and that he is level 96 at the time of writing these lines.
