Bone – Musician Fiersa Besari and his team had an accident on their way from Bone to Makassar, South Sulawesi (South Sulawesi). The car he was traveling in hit a rock and almost fell into a ravine.
The tense moment occurred when Fiersa Besari and his team crossed Jalan Poros Bone-Makassar, Sunday (4/6) early morning. Fiersa traveled to Makassar following performing at Bone on Saturday (3/6).
Fiersa said that he and his team immediately rushed to Makassar following the gig because they were still going to perform at the Java Jazz event in Jakarta on Sunday (4/6) evening. He admitted that he caught an early morning flight from Makassar airport to Jakarta.
“I and the team performed in Bone. Today Sunday (4/6) we have to perform in Jakarta. So we catch an early morning flight in Makassar,” said Fiersa through his Instagram story, quoted detikSulselSunday (4/6/2023).
Fiersa departed from Bone for Makassar using a travel car at 12 o’clock at night to catch an early morning flight. Hence, the car he was riding in also drove fast.
“From 12 at night we have to leave and have to arrive in Makassar early in the morning. So it’s really fast,” he explained.
While on the trip, Fiersa claimed to have fallen asleep, as did the rest of his team. Only the driver and one of his team named Andi who was sitting at the front were still awake.
When Andi started to fall asleep, the driver allegedly fell asleep too. Not long following, a tense moment ensued.
“He (Andi) was the last to go to sleep, it seems the driver also fell asleep and finally hit a rock really hard, we all woke up screaming, really really hard,” he explained.
According to Fiersa, the road conditions at the scene of the incident were indeed dark, while in front of him was a ravine. But he was grateful the car he was driving hit a rock so the car didn’t plunge into the ravine.
“As far as we remember and from what Andi might see, it was already dark in front of the cliff, so if there were no rocks, maybe our fate would have been different. We were lucky to hit the rock,” he said.
Fiersa added that his condition and the team, including the driver, were in good condition. They continued their journey and arrived in Jakarta.
“Yes, thank God it’s fine, if it’s called severe, it’s not bad, Alhamdulillah, everyone is safe and sound until Jakarta,” he said.
Fiersa did not reveal the exact location of the accident. However, the location is suspected to be in the Sumpang Labbu area, Laliriawang Village, Bengo District, Bone. This area is known for its winding roads and accident-prone conditions.
No Report to Police
While the Head of the Bone Police Headquarters, AKP Desi Ayu Dwi Putri, when confirmed, admitted that she had not received a report on the accident that had happened to Fiersa Besari and his entourage. He said they might immediately continue their journey to Makassar.
“We did not receive the report. It is possible that the car would have gone straight to Makassar,” he said when confirmed, Sunday (4/6).
