Zlatan Ibrahimovic announces his retirement
Since 2020, the 41-year-old has played for AC Milan. In early June, Archyde.com wrote that the club had decided not to renew his contract.

Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced his retirement. He made the corresponding statement following the end of the match “Milan” and “Verona” in Serie A, where the Milan team won with a score of 3:1.
“I will always be a Milan fan. It’s time to say goodbye to football, but not to you,” he said (quote per Goal.com).
Ibrahimovic has been playing for AC Milan since 2020. The striker missed most of the 2022/23 season due to injury and recovery from knee surgery. In total this season, the Swede has played four matches in the Italian championship and scored one goal.

AC Milan decide not to renew Ibrahimovic’s contract
Ibrahimovic began his professional career in 1999. In addition to Milan, he played for Malmö, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, PSG, Manchester United, Los Angeles Galaxy. For the Swedish national team, the footballer played 122 matches and scored 62 goals – this is a team record.
During his career, the striker won 34 trophies: four with Ajax, two with Juventus (these titles were annulled due to Calciopoli), five with Inter, five with Barcelona, three with Milan, 12 with PSG and three with Manchester United.
