Dubai: Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, visited and assessed the progress of the Hatta major development project, which is an asset to the tourism sector. UAE on Emirate’s Growth Sheikh Ahmed said that the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, is reflected in Hatta’s main development plan.
The aim is to provide high quality services and facilities to all through projects developed in accordance with global standards. He appreciated the institutions that are cooperating with the development projects. He also visited Hatta Border Crossing, Hatta Heritage Village, Farms, School, Hospital and Hatta Dam. Sheikh Ahmed reviewed major projects in Hatta Municipality.
The Hatta Major Development Plan has been planned with the aim of major changes in the social, economic and educational sectors of Hatta over the next 20 years. The project is designed to increase investment opportunities, tourism opportunities and public-private partnerships. Major development projects currently being implemented will make a big difference in Hatta.
The facilities have been expanded under the supervision of the Supreme Committee to improve traffic flow towards Hatta. The initial phase of the construction of the 11.5 km cycle path from Hatta Bus Station to Hatta Dam has been completed. Transport development works are underway to connect areas like Al Tallah Park, Alwadi Park and Wadihub.
Many schemes are being implemented under the supervision of the Supreme Committee to boost the agriculture sector. The government is paying special attention to increase business opportunities and support farmers by creating markets for local products. More than 13,000 plants have been planted to make the area eco-friendly. Development activities are being implemented in the area to mark Hatta’s position in the UAE’s tourism sector with excellence.
