Tampico, Tam.; June 3, 2023..- The Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT) delivered to society two hundred and twenty-one young people who completed the career of Surgeon at the Tampico School of Medicine “Dr. Alberto Romo Caballero”.

During the ceremony held at the Teatro Metropolitano de Tampico, the students who completed their undergraduate studies received the graduation certificate, and at a later date they will receive their title of Surgeon.

After carrying out the traditional honors to the national symbols, certificates were delivered to the students who completed their training as professionals who will respond to health problems and individual, family, social and environmental comprehensive care, to preserve it. , restore and improve it with a high human, rational, ethical and competitive sense.

During the ceremony, the students who for their dedication and effort obtained the best averages in their academic career were recognized, as well as the group of students who recently obtained third place in the First International Congress of the National Normative Committee of General Medicine, held in Queretaro.

For his part, Dr. Raúl de León Escobedo, director of the Tampico School of Medicine, urged graduates to make a commitment to continue their training and maintain their professional competence through postgraduate studies, in order to adapt to the demands and care requirements that are generated by the evolution of medicine, the health system and society.

The godfather of the generation, Dr. José Eugenio Cárdenas, thanked them for being part of the academic training of young people and awarded three scholarships for the preparation course for the next National Examination for Applicants for Medical Residency (ENARM).

On behalf of the 2023 generation, the student Paula Mariza González Barrientos thanked her relatives, teachers and administrators for the support received throughout the five years that make up the degree, highlighting that medicine is not just a profession, but a commitment for life to serve humanity with integrity, humility and maximum dedication.
