The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz, was together with the Governor of Tucumán, Dr. Juan Manzur, in the act of recognition and transfer to the temporary plant of hundreds of health workers.

This Friday at the Mercedes Sosa Theater, the governor led an act of recognition for 1,300 replacement agents of the Provincial Health System. The celebration was attended by the general secretary of FATSA, Héctor Daer; and the General Secretary of the Federation of Argentine Health Workers Associations (FATSA) with fulfilled mandate, Carlos West Ocampo, who was also named guest of honor.

The event that celebrated the deprecarization of health workers highlighted their professionalism and commitment during the Covid-19 pandemic, when they performed effectively in situations that required an agile and efficient response.

The act was also attended by the deputy, Rossana Chahla; the legislator and general secretary of ATSA, Reneé Ramírez; the Minister of the Interior, Miguel Acevedo; Rector of ATSA of CENT 74, Leticia Triviño.

In his speech, the Tucuman president valued the work of the workers who contributed significantly to providing quality health care to the community. In addition, he recognized the efforts of the general secretary of ATSA, René Ramírez, so that hundreds of Tucumans can access health training.

In this line, he emphasized the importance of valuing scientific knowledge, technical skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations; since they have been essential to guarantee the continuity of health services in recent years.

For his part, the head of the health portfolio highlighted: “This is a day of great joy. We are talking regarding 1,300 people who gave their all and helped us get out of a global contingency. These people summoned and others who were already titled, allowed with their work that no person from Tucumán is left without attention. There are 1,300 families whose lives are changing today, as the general secretary of ATSA, René Ramírez, said, who was supporting this to happen. It is a great effort by the province, at a critical time. It is a recognition of course deserved ”.

In dialogue with the press, Daer maintained: “that colleagues who worked in a moment as tragic as the pandemic are recognized and also generate incorporation into a place that will accompany them throughout their lives. This makes it possible to strengthen the health system and socially strengthen all those who join the job”.

In this sense, he remarked: “We also wanted to recognize Juan Manzur who, when the country had shocks, had no doubts in putting his body and intellect to be chief of staff of the Nation at a critical moment in Argentina.”

In his turn, Acevedo celebrated that the 1,300 workers were recognized so that they do a job that is present at all times: “From the moment we are born to the last day of our lives. 1,300 healthcare families can rest easy. A recognition that they really deserve”.

Finally, Ramírez expressed: “It is a great joy to have achieved this together with the Minister of Health, by political decision of the governor, to recognize 1,300 families that are going to be calm, they are not going to be depending on whether or not they authorize the replacements. They will have peace of mind and work for life. We add these workers to the almost 4,000 colleagues that in 2020 we managed to incorporate at the request of the union and the action of the Province. Before, during and following the pandemic, we are going to work, taking care of the health of the Tucuman people, ”he concluded.
