LoRosie, known as the oldest cat in the letter, celebrated her 32nd birthday. Rosie is a cat owned by 71-year-old Lila Brissett from Norwich, England. Lila Brissett claims Rosie was born on June 1, 1991. They celebrated their beloved cat’s 32nd birthday by cutting a cake. Lila says that she adopted Rosie just months following she was born and has been with her for more than 31 years since then. She said Rosie, who is still healthy, has rarely had to take her to the vet and was spayed and neutered when she first got the cat in 1991.

Lila Brissett added that she has contacted Guinness World Records to consider Rosie as the oldest living cat, and that she expects the world record announcement to be made soon following the tests are completed. According to Guinness World Records, the current oldest living cat is Flossie from England. Flossie was 26 years and 316 days old when she set the world record in November 2022. The cat is now owned by volunteers at Cats Protection. The current owners say that Flossie has lost her hearing and eyesight.
