During a recent interview with Deadline, the comedian admitted to mortgaging land adjoining his Carpinteria home “without thinking” to fund his four-part western film, Horizon. “I mortgaged 10 acres on the water in Santa Barbara where I was going to build my last home,” the Yellowstone actor revealed. But I did it without thinking. My accountant had a hell of a nervous breakdown. But it’s my life, and I believe in the idea and the story. »
Kevin Costner has been trying to bring the four-part film series into existence for over thirty years. The star reportedly personally raised up to $50 million of Horizon’s $100 million budget. A risky bet that he would not do once more! ” I am going to tell you. I will never do that once more. I will never put my fucking money in another movie once more following these four,” he exclaimed to a Variety reporter.
The Dances With Wolves star (68) reportedly has a net worth fortune of around $250m and earns $1.5m per episode of his series Yellowstone, making him the highest-paid actor of television.
Currently in production, Horizon would be Kevin Costner’s first film in twenty years. The film was designed to document the colonization of the American West as part of the expansion before and following the Civil War.
Kevin Costner will star alongside Michael Rooker, Sienna Miller, Giovanni Ribisi, Luke Wilson, Danny Huston and Sam Worthington.
