An accident indeed occurred this Friday in the middle of the followingnoon at the intersection of boulevard Simon Bolivar and avenue de l’Héliport in Brussels. “A fire engine and a federal police car collided. Following the collision, the police car ended up on its roof”informs us Ilse van De Keere, spokesperson for the Brussels police.
Three people were in the police vehicle. One person had to be extricated and transported to hospital, but “His days are not in danger”reassures the spokesperson.
Traffic had to be closed for a while, but around 5 p.m. it was able to reopen in both directions. However, this still creates some traffic jams.
An investigation is underway, it will have to determine the exact circumstances of this accident.
