From May 5 to 7, 2023, the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix should take place, although the strong storms that affect the Florida city might put its realization at risk.

Several days ago the roads in the vicinity of the Hard Rock Stadium were being prepared, however, when the rains began, which caused serious flooding, everything had to be put on hold.

The inclement weather caused a state of alert to be declared and the Miami International Airport reported delays in some flights due to the lightning that was detected, although until now the departure and entry of the planes have not been cancelled.

The areas most affected by the rains are Downtown, Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Opa-locka, Little Havana, North Miami, Edgewater and Brickell. In relation to the races that must be carried out, the specialists explain that the most important thing here is not the weather situation itself, but the condition in which the tracks will be left.

In relation to the above, during 2022 several pilots complained regarding it and asked that it not be repeated this year. This is precisely what worries the organizers, who also have the responsibility of ensuring the safety of the figures when they get into their vehicles.
