RIO DE JANEIRO – In a ceremony held in Campinas, in the state of São Paulo, katanas – the traditional Japanese sword – were delivered by Nissan to six samurai from Brazil. The symbolic act, reinforcing the Japanese DNA of the brand, marked the recognition of the six dealerships that obtained differentiated performances in fiscal year 2022 (from April 2022 to March 2023) in the “Clube Samurai” program, the highest level of excellence of the brand network in the country.

With the recognition, which names Nissan’s “samurai”, the company seeks to encourage its network to focus on customer experience and service, efficiency and business management, processes, installations and sales and following-sales results. Annually, taking into account these issues and following the Nissan Dealer Performance program, the six best groups in the country are awarded.

The groups that have the largest number of concessionaires with the “Gold” category of efficiency, quality and performance are eligible for the “Samurai Club”. To do so, they need to earn high marks in the Nissan Dealer Performance program. Thus, following standing out in all the evaluations, the samurais of that year were named the groups DR Sul (RS), Itaimbé (RS), Iesa (RS), Keiji (SP), Sanvel (SE) and Saga (GO, MT and DF).

The katanas were delivered to representatives of these groups by the president of Nissan do Brasil, Gonzalo Ibarzábal, and by directors of the Japanese brand.

All winners, including Silver and Bronze category groups, were honored by Nissan. In addition to recognition for the group, employees also receive awards and certificates for the position achieved.

“We have a network of high-level dealerships in Brazil and it is increasingly difficult to select the best six. Our samurai demonstrated world-class performance with a focus on customer satisfaction, with a lot of quality, commitment, efficiency and consistency. The winners and their teams are to be congratulated for the excellent work carried out in the 2022 fiscal year”, says Rodolfo Possuelo, Commercial Director of Nissan do Brasil.
