There has never been a lack of beautiful views at the Mountain Bike Grand Prix in Windhaag, including views of the castle ruins or the local mountain. This year, however, the racing grounds are even more magnificent. Because on the basis of historical plans, the moat has been transformed into an orchard with old varieties including several ponds in recent months.

For the fans and participants in the Windhaager ASVÖ Mountain Bike Days, this results in a unique arena with fast descents, jumps and steep climbs. From leisure cyclists to professionals, there is something for everyone.

As in the previous year, the race weekend will start on Saturday morning with the “ASVÖ 3-Täler Classic Mühlviertel”. Three race distances (Löffler Classic, Sport Mayr Medium and Schartner Bombe Light) offer amateur cyclists an impressive natural experience with cool valleys, steep climbs, beautiful descents and wonderful views.

The professionals will go to the limit on Saturday followingnoon at the notorious ASVÖ Raiffeisen Grand Prix with the key sections Höllenloch and ruins steep slope. UCI world ranking points are also contested here. Laura Stigger for the women and Gregor Raggl and Mario Bair for the men are among the favourites.

As a conclusion, on Sunday from 9:30 a.m., the Schartner Bombe Youngster Grand Prix will once once more offer a stage for the young sporty cyclists.
