A woman has been caught stealing merchandise from a supermarket.

The items stolen were household items such as milk powder and diapers, and the woman asked for forgiveness because her two-month-old baby was starving.

The police officer who was dispatched heard the story and reached out a helping hand.

A large mart in Wonju, Gangwon Province last March.

A woman wearing a white hat walks around the milk powder counter.

Then, he picks up a bottle and disappears.

After a while, the woman was caught by a security guard while trying to pass the checkout counter with daily necessities worth 170,000 won, such as powdered milk and diapers.

The woman who was caught by the dispatched police was a single mother and said, “The two-month-old baby is starving because she has run out of formula.”

As a result of police confirmation, the woman was sentenced to a fine of 4 million won for committing theft twice, but she was unable to pay the fine due to the hardships of living.

After hearing the woman’s story, the police officer at the scene went back to the mart and bought formula for the baby and gave it to the woman.

″It was because I was afraid of what would happen to the baby while crying. I chose the unfair method of stealing, but I think I was trying to take responsibility. That’s why it’s such a sad situation…”

As the story became known, more than 100 calls were made to the police and others to help, but it was reported that the woman in question refused.
