With our correspondent in Abidjan, Marine Jeannin
This is the first common battle horse between the PDCI of Henri Konan Bédié and the PPA-CI of Laurent Gbagbo. Gathered in a press conference at the historic headquarters of the PDCI, the spokespersons of the two parties jointly denounced “anomalies” on the electoral lists. Youssoufou Joseph Bamba of the PDCI
“We have established a non-exhaustive typology of anomalies: the presence of minors, centenarians, deceased persons, deprived of their civic and political rights, of unknown or incomplete filiation, the exponential growth of voters registered on the electoral list in certain areas of the country…”

The whole thing might only be done in a few days, because it was last weekend that the CEI handed over the provisional electoral list to the parties. It is therefore, underlined the spokesman of the PPA-CI Justin Koné Katinan, only a preliminary work.
“If, in such a short time, we have been able to detect so many anomalies and irregularities, it means that there is an unsuspected number of incoherent elements which will require a comprehensive and in-depth processing of the data contained in the provisional voters list. This is why we believe that providing one month instead of 10 days for the litigation period is the most reasonable thing to do. »
The collaboration between the two parties should continue in the coming weeks. Discussions are underway to draw up common lists. The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has not yet commented on their accusations.
