Kalesh is an actor who entered the Malayalam cinema with the film Hridiya directed by Vineeth Srinivasan. Kalesh said that the director had told that no one should think that Selva was played by a Malayali and that he was a theater artist. Red F. The actor was speaking in an interview given to M.

I was born and brought up in Alappuzha. My mother is from Madras. I grew up listening to Tamil at home. My Tamil has a tipical Malayali slang. Living in Chennai for last ten years.

He was a theater artist. Later he also worked as a dubbing artist. I have dubbed Tamil movies and Telugu movies into Malayalam. Tamil would have suited me well.

So slowly Hridiya came to cinema. Vineethtan believed in me and gave me a character. Vineethtan said only one thing. No one should ever say that the role of Selva was played by a Malayali. It was a big responsibility for me.

I have many dubbing artist friends. There are people who lived in the housing board colony like in the movie. I learned all the dialogues spoken by the character Selva by having them recite them. The audience felt happy that the character was played by a Tamilian,’ said Kalesh.

Kalesh said that there is a lot of directorial brilliance in the movie Hridiya and that is appreciated.

‘After Selva’s character dies, Selva’s friend character Kali says ‘Macha avan engke povale, inka tha enkeyo iruka’. After that look at the sun. Then a song comes on in the background.

There is a reason for looking at that sun. There was a character called Selva like a light in their lives. It was Selva who saw dreams for them.

In every scene where Selva is shown, there will be a sunlight behind Selva. It will flash like this. That is the brilliance of the director Vineethan and the cameraman Vishwajith. All that is commendable,’ said Kalesh.
