NIKKOR Z DX 24mm f/1.7 – first DX prime for Nikon Z cameras | Technology

2023-06-01 00:07:22

Nikon expands the Nikkor Z lens series with the first fixed focal length for DX cameras. The NIKKOR Z DX 24 mm f/1.7 weighs only 135 grams and with a focal length of 24 millimeters offers an angle of view that is comparable to that of a
36mm full-frame lens. It is suitable for landscape shots, street photography, portraits and much more.

Thanks to the high light intensity of 1:1.7 and the short close-up limit of 0.18 m (12.5 cm to the front lens) you can take sharp pictures even in low light or freeze movements with shorter exposure times. The pronounced bokeh with an open aperture also enables a three-dimensional effect of depth.

The autofocus is powered by a quiet stepper motor.

Since the perspective is very close to the classic 35mm shot that filmmakers prefer, it’s suitable NIKKOR Z DX 24mm f/1.7 is also very good for filming as there is no focus breathing.

The NIKKOR Z DX 24mm f/1.7 is expected to be available from mid-June 2023 for around 320 euros. For more information, see the Nikon websites.
