The city of Shebekino in the Belgorod region came under massive shelling on the night of May 31, Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in his telegram channel. Gladkov noted that the situation in the city is deteriorating, so children will be taken out of the Shebekinsky and Grayvoronsky districts.
According to the governor, Grad shells shattered windows, slashed facades and roofs in eight apartment buildings and four private buildings, as well as in a school and two administrative buildings. One store burned down completely. 12 cars have various damages.
There were no casualties as a result of the shelling. Four people were injured, writes Gladkov. The man has shrapnel wounds to the neck and back, the condition is serious, the woman has shrapnel wounds to the arm and forearm. They are in the hospital. Two more women refused hospitalization, they were treated on the spot.
The first 300 children from the Grayvoronsky and Shebekinsky districts will be sent to Voronezh today, the governor added.
The day before, on May 30, a temporary accommodation center in the Belgorod region, where evacuated residents of the Shebekinsky district were staying, came under fire. One person died, two were injured.
