According to a statement issued this Tuesday by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), it all stems from an investigation that began on May 23 and originated from a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Butts County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI’s Computer Crime and Child Exploitation Unit raided the home of 29-year-old Heather Clark, who was arrested in South Carolina, where she had fled.

Clark faces charges of distribution of child pornography and production of child pornography, according to the statement.

According to the GBI, Clark had taken refuge in another state with one other person, to avoid his arrest and hide the evidence of the crime.
