Russian President Vladimir Putin announced, on Tuesday, that his country will study the nature of the response to the attacks that targeted Moscow early in the day.

Russia had confirmed that Ukraine launched the largest drone attack ever on Moscow on Tuesday, but the air defenses destroyed all 8 aircraft used.

Putin added that “the regime in Kiev tried to intimidate and intimidate Moscow by striking residential centers.”

The Russian President confirmed that Moscow “launched strikes with precision weapons targeting military sites in Ukraine,” referring to the missile and drone attacks that targeted Kiev on Sunday and Monday.

Russia and Ukraine… a war of marches and assurances to confront it

Drone attacks deep inside Russia have increased in recent weeks ahead of an expected Ukrainian counterattack, with strikes on oil pipelines and even the Kremlin targeted earlier this month, in attacks that Moscow blames on Kiev.

Drone debris has struck some of Moscow’s most prestigious areas, including Leninsky Prospekt, a wide avenue established under Joseph Stalin’s leadership, and an area in western Moscow where the Russian elite, including Putin, reside.

Residents of southwestern Moscow said they heard explosions early on Tuesday, followed by the smell of petrol.

Some took pictures of a drone being shot down, and a cloud of smoke rising on the horizon in Moscow.

The Kremlin stated that Putin was informed of the attacks, adding that the air defenses and the Russian army worked well, so there was no threat to the residents of the capital.

“It is clear, of course, that this is an attack carried out by the Kiev regime,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated: “This morning, the Kiev regime launched a terrorist attack with unmanned aerial vehicles on buildings in the city of Moscow. 8 drones participated in the attack. All enemy drones were hit.”
