Authenticator Lite Released in Outlook for iOS

A Microsoft is releasing for all app users Outlook for iOS e Android the resource Authenticator Litewhich is nothing more than a version of your multifactor authenticatorwhich serves to validate online logins, now integrated into your email client.

According to company research, the authentication model for push notifications is 71% less likely to be compromised than means that use messages or phone calls with confirmation codes — in common use. The idea behind the new feature is to increase users’ adherence to both Authenticator and Outlook.

When opening Outlook following updating to the latest version, the user will be prompted to register the app as a secure device for Authenticator Lite. Once this is done, you will receive Notifications to confirm your identity in the app by entering the code shown on the login screen, and also being able to configure biometrics and PIN options.

Microsoft said the feature will remain in company-managed status until the day June 9th. As of this date, it will be activated by default, showing the giant’s efforts to disseminate practices to safeguard security.
