O Telegram offers several features that make the user experience even better. Among the examples, we can mention the possibility of hiding a photo/video with spoiler and preventing its inclusion in unknown groups, for example.
In this article, we’ll show you how you can accomplish translations within the app itself, in any conversation.
Check out how to enable this on iPhone/iPad, Mac and the web! ????
How to Use Telegram Translation Tool on iPhone/iPad
Open Telegram and tap the “Settings” tab in the bottom right corner. Then go to “Language” and enable “Show Translate Button”. Below, you can still choose to translate entire chats (only if you are a Telegram Premium subscriber) and for which languages you want this button not to appear.
In the “Interface Language” area, you change the language of Telegram itself.
Once this is done, open the desired message, press and hold your finger on top of the excerpt and go to “Translate”. With that, a window will open, showing the original text and the translation. At the bottom, select “Copy Translation” or “Switch Language”.
How to Use Telegram Translation Tool on Mac
With Telegram open on macOS, just right-click on any message and choose the “Translate” option:
If you want to configure the feature, click on the gear in the lower left corner, select “Language” and check the languages that you do not want Telegram to translate.
Just below, you can also change the language of Telegram itself.
How to use Telegram web translation tool
With Telegram on the web open, click on the button represented by three little lines (in the upper left corner) and go to “Settings”. Select “Language” and check “Show Translate Button”.
Below, under “Don’t Translate”, choose which ones you don’t want to display this button. Under “Interface Language”, you can change the language of Telegram itself.
