While the success of the ticketing service for the Olympic Games was confirmed at the end of the second sales phase, the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee (OCOG) is now preparing the launch of the ticketing service for the Paralympic Games in which will take place for the first time in France from August 28 to September 08, 2024.

A As the deadline for the Summer Games approaches, Paris 2024 is gradually deploying its various operations aimed directly at the public. Several highlights punctuate and will punctuate the next few months until the opening of the planetary event, starting with the ticketing of the Games.

Since then, and on the strength of the enthusiasm noted around the Olympic Games, with to date, no less than 6.8 million tickets sold out of the 10 million availablethe OCOG now intends to initiate the forthcoming launch of the Paralympic Games ticket office, with the hope of meeting with massive popular success.

And the price range had already been announced by the organizers in 2022the opening date for sales was formalized on Tuesday.

The OCOG has thus decided to implement ticketing for the Games from Monday 09 October 2023, i.e. the day following the celebration of the Paralympic Day, the first edition of which had as its main setting the Place de la Bastille in Paris.

On this date, people wishing to obtain access tickets to the Paralympic competitions as well as the Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be able to go to the official platform which will remain the same as the one already in place for the Olympics ticket office.

No less than 2.8 million tickets will then be put on sale in real time and without drawing lots for France and for the world. A number below projections initially advanced to 3.4 million, but which have since been refined to take into account the gauges of the sites hosting the events.

In order to guarantee a popular celebration of the event, the organizers have also confirmed an attractive price list, with an entry price of 15 euros and seating not exceeding 100 euros, with the exception of the Ceremonies. which will take place, for the opening, on the Place de la Concorde and, for the closing, at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis).

On the package overall, 500,000 tickets will be offered at 15 euros for all para-sports on the program of the Gameswith moreover a pricing of 25 euros or less for more than half of the tickets.

Beyond the ticket office open to the general public, and as if to inject additional momentum, the actors of the event are largely oriented towards the Paralympic Games by distributing tickets purchased to audiences far removed from sport.

Last March, the Departmental Council of Seine-Saint-Denis, for example, announced thathe intended to acquire a total of 40,000 ticketsincluding 24,000 for the Paralympic event.

Last week, the Minister of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, announced that the State was going to establish a popular box office with 401,220 tickets offered to four distinct audiencesincluding 298,600 tickets giving access to the Paralympic Games.
