The activities of the third session of the Carthage Days Festival for Contemporary Art kicked off in Tunisia under the slogan “Art is a path and colors”, in the presence of 250 artists from 23 countries.
Six artists from the State of Qatar are participating in this session, which will run until May 30, through the Katara Art Center.
Hanadi Al-Darwish said in statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that her current participation in the festival is the second following the 2019 edition, noting that she is participating with five other plastic artists from Qatar within the activities of the festival.
Al-Darwish said, “I am happy to participate in this great festival of art, which is an opportunity to meet cultures and discover other worlds of art, especially since such festivals have a great role in the lives of artists, as they represent an opportunity to enhance their artistic experience and support the links between artists from different countries of the Arab world on an ongoing basis.”
For her part, Ms. Samira Turki Turjman, Director of the Festival, said in a statement: “The third session of the festival includes four major pavilions, seminars, meetings and honors,” explaining that a pavilion has been allocated for international participation that includes 60 contemporary works of art, including painting, engraving, photography, sculpture, performance art and art. the video.
And she continued, “The audience of fine arts and students of fine arts will be able to visit an exhibition on the latest innovations in the field of contemporary art, including performance arts and other contemporary arts.”
It is worth noting that the first session of the “Carthage” Festival for Contemporary Art was launched in June 2018, by organizing a group of plastic art, sculpture and various forms of art.
